Our story

We opened because Oakland deserved better ice cream.

The Ice Cream Shoppe of Oakland was born from a simple belief: ice cream should taste like something real. Not like the stuff made in massive factories with ingredients you can't pronounce. Ours is churned in small batches, using whole milk, cream, and fruit that actually tastes like fruit.

We started at 902 Kennedy Memorial Drive because this neighborhood felt like home — and because we wanted a place where families, neighbors, and anyone who just needed a moment of sweetness had a seat waiting for them.
